Jimmy Pedro is one of the word’s top judo coaches. His ex students include UFC star Ronda Rousey. With the help of former US champ Bobby Lee, the USA Olympic head coach shows the best judo moves for MMA



1. Bobby (blue gi) is defending against Jimmy’s juji gatame (armbar) attempt on his right arm by gripping over his right hand with his left.



2. Jimmy’s right forearm is already under Bobby’s right arm but now he adjusts to pass it further under and hooks over the top of his left thigh.



3. With his left arm, Jimmy again hooks under Bobby’s right. As he pulls the arm close to his body, Jimmy puts Bobby’s forearm in the crook of his elbow.



4. Jimmy’s left leg will now work as a brace along with his right arm to expose Bobby’s wrist, which is weaker than the rest of the arm, as Jimmy leans his upper body toward Bobby’s head.




5. As soon as Bobby’s grip becomes compromised, Jimmy pulls Bobby’s arm back with his bodyweight, and then straightens his body to finish the armbar.
