Bieber tweeted for pirate Silva-Weidman video, got burned by friend Dana
Teenage pop sensation Justin Bieber was caught red handed by UFC president Dana White tweeting for an illegal video of the shocking UFC 162 Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman bout. Instead of buying an official event replay, shortly after Weidman knocked out ‘The Spider’ in July, the singer tweeted: “Who has a video of the UFC fight tonight? Send it to me.” White addressed the request by simply stating: “PPV Justin.”
Michael Jackson's son is Gracie blue belt
Michael Jackson’s son, Prince, has earned his blue belt in Gracie jiu-jitsu. The 16-year-old son of the late ‘King of Pop’ achieved the rank (one step up from white belt) at a grading at the Gracie Academy in Beverly Hills in July, according to a report from Hollywood gossip site TMZ. Prince’s late father, Michael, was known by UFC bosses to be a fan of the sport and even attended several events in face-obscuring garb.
TUF Latin America in the works
Fighters Only has learned the UFC is planning an entirely Spanish-speaking series of its reality series, The Ultimate Fighter. It will feature competitors from across South America and likely focus on lighter weight fighters. Another installment in the UFC’s TUF-first international expansion strategy, its working title is TUF: Latin America. Officials told FO there are plans to subtitle the series and show it in English-speaking markets, as with the two Brazilian seasons of TUF.
Silva said Chris Weidman win would be perfect before UFC 162 bout
In a bizarre interview conducted prior to his UFC 162 knockout loss to Chris Weidman, Anderson Silva said the ideal fight would be for the ‘All American’ to win. The former UFC middleweight champ answered reporter Joe Ferraro’s question of what would be his perfect fight by mimicking crowd cheers and calling out: “Chris Weidman is the best in the world! Chris Weidman is the new champion of the UFC!”
