What age did you start training?
Pettis: “I started at five years old.”
Koch: “I started training aged 12.”
How quick was your fastest knockout?
Pettis: “15 seconds in taekwondo. It was a jumping spin kick.”
Koch: “One minute 36 seconds.” (vs. Francisco Rivera, WEC 52)
Favorite part of training camp?
Pettis: “Being around all the guys is probably the best part.”
Koch: “The entire experience of being in the trenches with my brothers before battle.”
‘Fight of the Night’ or early TKO?
Pettis: “Early TKO. ‘Fight of the Night’ means I got hit in the face a bunch (laughs).”
Koch:“Early TKO. Less damage that way.”
How many Fight, Sub’ or KO ‘...of the Night’ bonuses have you had?
Pettis: “I’ve had five so far in my career.”
Koch: “I’ve had two ‘Knockout of the Night’ bonuses, so far.”

Round 2: PERSONAL LIFE
What car do you drive?
Pettis: “I’ve got a couple cars so it depends on how I’m feeling.”
Koch: “A black Mitsubishi Eclipse.”
Favorite luxury item?
Pettis: “I have a nice Redwing watch with diamonds in it.”
Koch: “I don’t even have one.”
Do you have any higher education?
Pettis: “Yeah. I went to college and got my degree in fire science.”
Koch: “No, it’s all fighting, baby.”
How many social media (Twitter/Facebook) friends have you got?
Pettis: “Around 112,000 on Twitter and another 164,000 on Facebook.”
Koch: “Almost 15,000 on Twitter and around 3,000 on my Facebook fan page.”
Who is your hero?
Pettis: “In sport, Anderson Silva. In life, my sister.”
Koch: “I haven’t got a hero.”

Round 3: HAVE YOU EVER. . .
…stolen anything from a hotel?
Pettis: “For sure. Pillows, blankets, shampoo.”
Koch: “No.”
…dropped food on the floor but eaten it anyway?
Pettis: “I’m a firm believer in the three-second rule.”
Koch: “Yep, of course. Totally the three-second rule.”
…killed your dinner?
Pettis: “Yeah, I’ve killed fish and a moose.”
Koch: “Nope.”
… been caught with porn?
Pettis: “Yeah. My mom asked to use my phone once, and porn came on (laughs).”
Koch: “Not guilty.”
… made your own booze?
Pettis: “Well, I do own my own bar.”
Koch: “No.”
