UFC on ESPN 64 went down at Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Saturday night, and in contrast to last week's UFC London event, this fight card had plenty of jaw-dropping moments for the Mexican fans to enjoy.
In the main event, former two-time UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno (24-8-2 MMA, 12-4-2 UFC) got the better of Australian contender Steve Erceg (12-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC) after five rounds, handing "Astroboy" his third consecutive loss in less than a year.
As expected, the co-main event delivered fireworks as Manuel Torres (16-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) picked up the fourth first-round finish of his short UFC career when he stopped the veteran Drew Dober (27-14 MMA, 13-10 UFC) in under two minutes.
Also on the main card, Edgar Chairez (12-6 MMA, 2-2 UFC) submitted CJ Vergara (12-7-1 MMA, 3-5 UFC) in the opening round of their flyweight contest, while former Combate Global champion David Martinez (12-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) got his UFC career off to a perfect start as he knocked out Saimon Oliveira (18-6 MMA, 0-3 UFC).
Bonus Winners
There were four 'performance of the night' awards went to four of the fighters who picked up first-round stoppge victories. All four fighters collected an extra $50,000. They were:
