What five things must you have in your fridge?

“Firstly, I need an energy drink in there. I need something that’s healthy and has a lot of vitamins. Green salsa is awesome. Almond milk needs to be in there. Spaghetti sauce and tamales too.”

If there was one thing you could gorge on. What would it be?

“I would say Mexican food. Chips and salsa, burritos, tacos all that stuff. It makes me feel good.”

What would you have on a cheat day?

“I generally eat healthy. If I was in training, I’d simply eat half as much food as I would when I’m not training. I cut back on the portions a lot.”

Do you keep anything other than frozen peas in the freezer?

“I’ve always got to have a pizza in there. You never know when you’re going to come home and not feel like cooking. You can always throw a pizza in the oven. I keep a lot of beef and chicken in there too, so when I do cook a meal I’ve got it right there.”

What’s your favorite dessert?

“Anything and everything. I love it all. I’m a big fan of dessert. I could eat any and every dessert... I’m a big fan of cookie dough ice-cream.”

What’s your signature dish?

“Spaghetti with meat sauce. I’ve been cooking it forever and I’m really good at cooking it. It’s probably my favorite meal.”

So that would be your favorite meal in fight camp then?

“You got it, spaghetti (laughs).”

What meal do you eat after the weigh-ins?

“I just consume a lot of drinks. I have to have a lot of fluids, because I cut a lot of weight from dehydration.”

What food do you look forward to mostly after your fight?

“Pretty much everything. Like I said, I eat a lot more when I’m not in training. I pretty much increase the portions and eat whatever I want without having to worry

about it.”

What are your top three favorite meals?

“Spaghetti and meat sauce, of course. Thai green curry with white rice and enchiladas. A little bit of Thai food, a little Italian and a little Mexican food too.”
