The UFC lightweight star opens his bag to reveal his Thai roots and love of personal grooming…
KAOBON SHORTS
“These are freebies from the gym. I actually train in a lot of Kaobon’s own branded gear, not just because it’s available, but ‘cos it’s really good quality. These shorts have done the rounds let me tell you. They were made in Thailand so they’re really durable and tough.”
SANDEE BOXING GLOVES
“I actually bought these from a shop close to the gym, Super Human. They’re really good gloves and I use them for pretty much all my sparring and pads. They’re 12oz so you can get some good power. I’ve only had them a couple of weeks but I really like them as they fit really well.”
WARRIOR WRAPS
“I always use these same wraps and so they’ll probably need replacing soon. But I’ve only just started using wraps in recent months if I am honest. I never used to wrap my hands at all as I wanted my wrists to stay strong, but I realized my hands were getting pretty bashed up so now I wrap them all the time.”
UNDER ARMOUR T-SHIRT
“This T-shirt is off one of my sponsors. Under Armour make amazing training gear and I am proud to wear their brand. It’s a brand that cuts through every sport on the planet and their gear is always really comfortable and strong. I use this T-shirt to train in.”
SHOCKDOCTOR MOUTHGUARD
“I’ve had this gumshield for a few months and it’s pretty good. I bought it over the counter but it’s a good one. I have a few that I had fitted too, by the dentist, but this is just as good. I prefer the fitted ones to the boil-and-bites as they are more comfortable.”
FAIRTEX/WINDY SHINGUARDS
“They aren’t actually in my bag as I just leave them in the gym, but I use either Fairtex or Windy shin guards. Both of those brands make great MMA gear so I know I’ll get the protection I need.”
UFC MMA GLOVES
“I actually wore these in a fight, but I can’t remember which one. I like to train in the same gloves I fight in so I am used to the feel and the texture of them. I usually keep my fight stuff, like wraps and things like that, to save as souvenirs. But these obviously slipped through.”
INNER ARMOUR SUPPLEMENTS
“Inner Armour are another of my sponsors and their range is great, tailor made for MMA. Their products keep me going in and out of camp.”
