By knocking out fellow UFC bantamweight Yves Jabouin at UFC on Fuel TV 5, Brad Pickett completed a full house of all three Zuffa fight-night bonuses. He added ‘Knockout of the Night’ to his previously won ‘Submission of the Night’ (WEC 45) and ‘Fight of the Night’ (WEC 50, UFC 138, UFC on Fuel TV 2) accolades.

UFC 152 marked the first time in 29 UFC events two of the promotion’s titles were up for grabs. This time it was the light heavyweight and flyweight, at UFC 136 in October 2011 it was the lightweight and featherweight.

It was a bad night for UFC debutants at UFC on FX 5 in October. The only two men making their first UFC appearances, Brazil’s Jussier Da Silva and England’s Phil Harris, saw defeat – both in the second round. Da Silva by TKO, Harris by rear naked choke.

Challenges for Dominick Cruz’s UFC bantamweight title at UFC Live 6. He’s comprehensively outgrappled over five rounds, including fending off a deep rear naked choke, to lose a unanimous decision.

Drops 10lb to flyweight for a four-man tournament to determine the first UFC flyweight champ. His thrilling battle with Ian McCall on UFC at FX 2 in Australia is initially announced as a Johnson win, before being corrected to a draw.

Johnson rematches McCall at UFC on FX 3 in Florida. Neutralizing the former Tachi Palace 125lb champ’s takedowns, Johnson trumps McCall on the judges’ cards.
