Making his promotional debut at UFC on Fuel 2 in Sweden (the organization’s first trip to the country) was kickboxer Siyar Bahadurzada. In entering the Octagon he became the UFC’s first Afghan fighter, and in KO’ing opponent Paulo Thiago he became the first man to ever stop the Brazilian with strikes.

At UFC 145 in Altanta, Georgia, tipped UFC welterweight Rory MacDonald outstruck hardy opponent Che Mills 47:6 with significant hits.

There were nine different nationalities represented by fighters on the UFC on Fuel 2 event in Sweden in April. In order of appearance: English, American, Norwegian, Swedish, French, German, Brazilian, Afghan and Italian.

With Jon Jones’ five-round decision victory over Rashad Evans at UFC 145 in April, the 24-year-old extended his list of defeated former UFC light heavyweight champions to four. Of the UFC’s active 205lb roster, there are only two former champions he hasn’t tackled: Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar returned to the WWE on April 2nd, administering his finisher, the F5, to John Cena. The return came 95 days after his last UFC appearance before retirement from MMA – a TKO loss to Alistair Overeem at UFC 141 on December 30th.
