“Vitor [Belfort] used to train with [Anderson Silva]. Did you see what he did to his friend? I guarantee you the guys that are his friends want to be like him. Your friends want your belt, and they won’t pay your bills when you’re done fighting, Anderson.”

Part of UFC president Dana White’s rebuttal to Anderson Silva’s assertion that teammates shouldn’t fight one another.

“I have nothing against Dana [White], I admire him, but he doesn’t know what this is, and he can’t say that two friends should fight. We spend more time together than with our own families. We share the pains, the frustrations, and just because he wants to sell a fight that he thinks it would be cool and that the public would like to see two companions fighting.”

Just some of UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva’s argument as to why friends and training partners shouldn’t meet in the Octagon.

“At least when I was fighting, I knew I could easily defend myself. These politicians have no integrity. They are a nasty bunch!”

Retired UFC welterweight Chris Lytle gives an update via Twitter on his new life in pursuit of election to the Indiana State Senate.

I tell you what, I’m glad he’s not in my weight class.”

A humorous but not-so-ridiculous hypothesis from Las Vegas-based British UFC welterweight Dan Hardy.

“Bruce [Lee] was great but I think really, if I’m honest, Ronda [Rousey] would have him for lunch. Because Ronda can annihilate, mutilate, assassinate anybody, women and dwarves.”

The wisdom of a longtime coach of Ronda Rousey, ‘Judo’ Gene LeBell. A man who once shared the mats with the late Bruce Lee.

“He’s probably not that smart. I mean, what a way to make yourself look like a retard, to say women can’t compete with men on the same level in any sport, and to say he wanted to knock my teeth down my throat.”

Strikeforce women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey’s harsh words regarding Brian Caraway, the beau of arch enemy Miesha Tate, following a series of tweets from the TUF 14 man.
