The Xtreme Couture teamster opens up his locker to FO’s Gary Alexander and reveals the importance of Lysol in your gym bag

LOCKER

“It’s pretty nice to have a locker as it saves having to load up with too much stuff. All I have to bring to the gym now is my clothes. It helps me keep my stuff clean and also saves me from having to drag a big bag around everywhere I go.”

HAYABUSA BOXING GLOVES

“They gave them to me a while ago and I use them a lot, they fit real well. I guess they’re in the rotation right now, and yes, they work pretty good.”

FAIRTEX SHINGUARDS

“I’ve had those for a really long time and they hold up really good. No real reason as to why I have these but I bought them a couple of years ago and, as I said, they’ve held up really well and I use them practically every day.”

UNBREAKABLE MOUTHGUARD

“Unbreakable mouthguards are great. They’ve provided me with a few and I use them for every single fight and training session. My dad is a dentist so my teeth are important to me, so I would always go with Unbreakable.”

UFC MMA GLOVES

“I wore these in a fight, I can’t remember which one, and so I know I should probably have put these away in a cabinet or something for safe keeping, but I’m cheap so I use them for training. Plus, I like to train in the same gloves that I am wearing in a fight so I am used to the weight and the fit.”

JUMP ROPE

“I like to use this before I hit the mitts. It really gets my feet going and it also warms up the shoulders too, so I’d recommend a good jump rope to anybody.”

HEADRUSH SHIRTS

“I always wear Headrush shirts, they’ve treated me really well so I always rock their gear. They’re a great company who

really treat their fighters well.”

EVERLAST HANDWRAPS

“Everlast gear is great. They provided me with a bunch of gear and these hand wraps I use all the time and they are really durable.”

LYSOL

“Lysol is very important as it has multiple uses (laughs). It’s especially good at keeping the funk away so this is a key staple in my locker.”

STROOPS

“Stroops are like a fancy version of resistance bands. But instead of the old rubber tube running around your back offering you resistance to your punches, this wraps around your waist and doesn’t rub up against your armpits and chafe you. I use this to also warm up my shoulders before hitting mitts.”

SPRAWL SHORTS

“Same as Headrush, these guys are dedicated to MMA. I always wear Sprawl shorts when I fight in the UFC. They treat their fighters great and, above all else, their shorts are excellent. Super durable and really high quality.”
