Fighting your teammates has become a taboo subject in MMA so FO stages it’s own 3x5 question shoot-out between sparring partners. Xtreme Couture welterweights Jay Hieron and Mike Pyle collide in our Q&A Octagon.

What age did you start training?
Hieron: I started wrestling when I was 13.
Pyle: 18 years old.
How quick is your fastest knockout?
Hieron: 1:45 of the first round against Jason High
at Affliction: Day of Reckoning.
Pyle: I’ve never knocked anyone out.
Toughest opponent you’ve ever faced?
Hieron: Georges St Pierre.
Pyle: Andrei Semenov.
Favorite part of training camp?
Hieron: When my body feels like a ninja, like I could jump over a moving car.
Pyle: When it’s over [laughs]. No really, it’s being in shape.
‘Fight of the Night’ or early TKO?
Hieron: I’d say ‘Fight of the Night’ depending on the bonus of the organization [laughs].
Pyle: ‘Fight of the Night’ – because you get paid for it.

What car do you drive?
Hieron: Range Rover.
Pyle: Honda Ridgeline.
Favorite luxury item?
Hieron: My Rolex 18-carrot-gold Submariner.
Pyle: Watches. No preference, I like ‘em all.
Do you have any pets?
Hieron: Yes I have a 11-year-old pitbull called Kane.
Pyle: Two cats.
Skimmed milk or ice-cold beer?
Hieron: Skimmed milk, I don’t drink.
Pyle: Ice-cold beer [laughs].

Hieron: Yeah of course when I was a kid fo’ sure. Just clean it off and chow down.
Pyle: Hell no.
... been caught with porn?
Hieron: No, not yet [laughs].
Pyle: No.
Would you take a bullet for someone?
Hieron: Yes.
Pyle: Maybe in the leg yeah.
