UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva plants a foot into the face of title challenger Vitor Belfort. Rarely such an effective attack, Silva dropped his fellow Brazilian with the front kick and followed up with strikes on the ground to retain his belt for a record eight consecutive defenses. For Silva haters, Belfort represented possibly the last great hope to topple Anderson’s monopolization of the 185lb division. For Silva fans, the kick was further proof of ‘The Spider’s case for best pound-for-pound fighter on the globe. Future Hall of Famer? Undoubtedly.
