With a series of brutal leg kicks, Griffin neutralizes Rampage’s attack and goes on to win via unanimous decision becoming the UFC light heavyweight champion.

In his first title defense, Griffin loses to the then unbeaten Rashad Evans at UFC 92.

Griffin is matched against UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva to test ‘The Spider’s skills at light heavyweight. The champ passes, knocking Griffin down three times in the first round before going on to score the TKO at 3:23 of round one.
