From apprentice to master. Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller pays his respects to the spiritual forebear of his MMA-comedian persona, Kazushi Sakuraba. Miller had spoken of two things before he took on ‘The Gracie Hunter’: his respect for the Japanese fighting legend and the desire to tap out one of his idols. Their Dream 16 bout was unceremonious however; by 2:09 of the first round, Sakuraba submitted to a Mayhem arm triangle. It was only the second time the Japanese fighter had ever submitted in his 43-fight career. The other was in his debut 14 years ago to exactly the same hold.
