In the final three rounds of his first title defense against BJ Penn at UFC 118, Frankie Edgar hit Penn 119 times. Penn was able to connect on Edgar just 23 times in the final three rounds. Overall Edgar landed 102 more strikes than Penn.

Lawal lost his belt to Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante at Strikeforce: Houston due to a third-round TKO. He suffered two torn ligaments in his left knee in the first round as he tried to slam Cavalcante.

Times Tim Kennedy landed strikes on Ronaldo Souza at Strikeforce: Houston. Souza connected on Kennedy 64 times in the razor-close fight. One of those strikes cut Kennedy above the eye and ‘Jacare’ went on to claim the promotion’s middleweight strap by unanimous decision.
