Brazilian middleweight Jorge Santiago paces the ring before the opening bell of his potential ‘Fight of the Year’ title bout with challenger Kazuo Misaki at Sengoku 14 in Tokyo, Japan. The ground-specialist Santiago and the brick-fisted Misaki were both near to being tapped or knocked out on such frequent occasion that even the typically silent Japanese crowd erupted into supportive chants. With both men exhausted, the war finally ended in the fifth round after Misaki’s corner threw in the towel having seen their fighter receive enough punishing ground ‘n’ pound.
