Black House under siege by Seagal and Usher
Turns out R ‘n B crooner Usher hits pads at the Black House gym in California. Mark ‘The Philippine Wrecking Machine’ Munoz grabbed a post-training picture with the singer and slung it up on Twitter stating Usher was a “cool guy.” Black House was also the scene of UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva’s meeting with action movie legend Steven Seagal. As seen on Brazilian TV show Passing the Guard, Silva took a private lesson with the actor, who is an expert in aikido and a part-time police officer. The Hard to Kill star described the world’s top pound-for-pound fighter as “my friend.” Could acting, alongside boxing, be another of Anderson’s possible post-fight career paths?
EA cover curse infiltrates MMA
The so-called EA cover curse that has blighted the Madden video game series may be to blame for Fedor Emelianenko’s submission loss to Fabricio Werdum. MMA fan boys are now questioning whether Fedor was also cursed when the cover of EA Sports MMA was announced to be featuring the Russian’s emotionless gaze. Meanwhile, THQ announced UFC Trainer, a motion-controlled combative approach to fitness games such as Wii Fit.

WWE superstar Bautista looking for Strikeforce
Former World Wrestling Entertainment talent and MMA fan Dave Bautista wants to make his combat debut in Californian fight promotion Strikeforce. The 41-year-old says the squared circle is behind him for good and wants to take advantage of years of MMA training. Batista was previously seen backstage at Strikeforce: Los Angeles and Scott Coker, Strikeforce CEO, describes an obvious matchup with former pro wrestler Bobby Lashley, also on Strikeforce’s books, as potentially “a fun fight to watch.”
