Though you voted this Submission of the Year, technically no submission took place. Such was the effectiveness of Toby Imada’s unorthodox reverse triangle choke, Jorge Masvidal never had chance to tap – the ATT representative was put to sleep instead. Imada’s success with the choke is only half responsible for him winning the award – the viral YouTube clip that featured the move spread across the world and showcased the veteran Californian’s submission prowess.
