Chris Lytle, money man  

A humble firefighter from Indiana, Chris Lytle is a down-to-earth family man known for putting it all on the line every time he fights. The evidence: Lytle has won seven bonuses in his last nine UFC appearances, including four Fight of the Night bonuses, two Submission of the Nights and a KO of the Night. Cha-ching! 

Who decides to stop a fight? 

The referee, Herb Dean, wouldn’t stop it, the ringside doctor said the fight should have been stopped but didn’t insist upon it and Perosh’s cornermen wouldn’t stop it. Should the decision to stop rest with a fighter with a huge gash over his eye, high on adrenaline and eager to continue? Somebody has to take charge – what on earth are the doctors there for otherwise?  

‘Cro Cop’ is still scary  

When Cro Cop’s opponent, Ben Rothwell, dropped out only 48 hours ahead of their fight in Sydney, Australia, a last-minute dash took place to find a replacement. Rampage Jackson and Randy Couture (who were both in the country for the event) wisely turned it down. Ask yourself, even if he’s in the twilight of his career, would you want to fight one of the world’s deadliest strikers on two day’s notice?   

Power Ranger goes 2-0 

Jason David Frank, the actor and martial artist known for starring in the ‘90s kids’ TV show The Power Rangers, recently won his second MMA fight. Fighting in Houston, Texas, in January Frank won his first fight by omoplata, and picked up his second win in February with a TKO win in Houston.
