Their first fight back in May was one of the bloodiest and most entertaining fights of the year. Both hard hitters and never shy of a stand-up scrap, Robbie Lawler and Scott Smith slugged it out until the fight was cut short by an accidental finger to Smith’s eye.
The rematch proved to be no less exciting - Smith used elbows to cut the top of Lawler’s head, though this only served to slow the EliteXC middleweight champion, who won by TKO midway through the second round.
