Haymakers aren’t the prettiest of punches, but they can sometimes be extremely effective, especially in setting up takedowns. That’s exactly what Roan Carneiro was doing against Jeff Burns in their undercard fight on UFC 85. Winging in a huge right hand, he would follow with a double leg takedown – he connected with this, but the underdog Burns absorbed the blow and later went on to win via second-round submission.
