Lemarr MMA Training Glove

Having already made a name for themselves in the world of boxing, Lemarr seem to be going all out with their brand new MMA range. All Lemarr training gloves are made with premium quality leather - as is the case with their full range. Padding around the knuckle is good and not too bulky, which was ideal for going at it on stand-up drills. Relatively good fit and basic design - which many people approve of these days. Wrist support is a standard velcro strap. Good value and ideal for anyone getting started in the sport.

Shadow Boxer VRT

This latest innovation in fitness equipment is something that everyone in the office wanted to try as soon as it arrived. Easy to put together with a choice of three resistance levels, the Shadow Boxer can be used at the gym or at home with no trouble at all. Not only does it enable you to build strength and fine tune your punching power, it is perfect for cardiovascular exercise and even activities such as Pilates or aerobics.

It attaches directly to the torso for dynamic resistance and easy movement. The people behind it claim the isokinetic nature reduces the risk of strain and, with it being quite compact, it was easy to carry around. Already receiving good reviews from a number of combat-sport stars. We give it a thumbs up.

Primal Fight Gear FG220 Pro Competition Gloves

Branching out into a full kit range, hot new UK brand Primal Fight Gear have just released these competition gloves - and for their first effort they’re not bad at all. One noticeable feature was just how comfortable they were. A good combination of premium leather and high density padding meant the gloves were not tight or stiff when using them. Available with a looped thumb or open palm, for your preference, and secured by a double velcro wrap. The signature colour seems to be black and blue and the size range goes up to XXL as well - to cater for bigger handed athletes out there.

Brute Ear Protector

It can be difficult at times to find a decent pair of ear protectors, and it is often argued that people are not using them as often as they should. Maybe it’s because they don’t feel comfortable wearing one, or that they are proud of their cauliflower ears! This one from Brute was easy to put on, a good fit and did the job. It only required re-adjustment when grappling got a bit intense, but that was to be expected. Relatively basic design but what more do you want from an ear guard?
