As you can probably tell by looking at him, light heavyweight Krzysztof Soszynski loves his tattoos, but most surprising is that the 15-8-1 powerhouse only started getting tattooed a couple of years ago.  

“My first tattoo was a tribal piece on my left shoulder, then the back of my neck was next. It all kind of grew from there!”  

Fighting out of Team Quest in California, the Polish-born fighter counts top names such as Dan Henderson, Mayhem Miller and Sokoudjou among his training partners. Relocating with his wife from his home in Winnipeg, Canada to the arid climes of Temecula, California, Soszynski also left his tattoo artist behind, the talented Abby Stecher of Living Canvas Tattoo (www.livingcanvastattoo.ca).   

A contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 8, Soszynski is known as a practical joker, but is super serious about his tattoos, and though half his body is covered in ink it is one tiny tattoo on his left ring finger that has the most meaning of all. In place of a wedding ring is the text ‘My Love’ in both Polish and French, he and his French-Canadian wife Genevieve’s native tongues.   

Now the 31-year-old has committed to adorning his body with his very distinctive artwork, he fully expects to end up completely covered. “I’ve got my left arm done, my right arm is still being finished and I’ve got half my back done. After that it’ll be onto my legs I guess!”
