“He is in good health. He just had surgery on his knee a few weeks back. He definitely had a staph infection; six weeks before the fight he was in hospital for five or six days. Taking nothing away from Frank Mir though Frank fought an excellent fight, he was the better man that night, but I think Nogueira will be back 100% very soon.”
Ed Soares
“I look like a ninja!”
Kenny Florian, upon seeing the pictures from his exclusive photo shoot with Fighters Only
“I’m definitely dropping to 155lb. While everyone else is dying to make weight, I’m sitting there with a big bowl of muesli and a glass of orange juice. All the lightweights in my gym are bigger than me. They walk around at about 83kg and I walk around at about 81 or 82kg. I won’t lose any strength moving down. Nobody can keep me on my back in the gym and that will stay like that at lightweight.”
Paul Kelly
“As for next time, my message to all the refs would be to please let the fight go until I’m put to sleep.”
Josh Koscheck
“I have come to terms with my last few fights and the losses that I have been through. I meant what I said: I am not done, I am gonna stay the course. My life has been a roller coaster full of ups and downs, but it is a ride I am not ready to get off of just yet.”
Jens Pulver
“You’re going pretty deep.”
Diego Sanchez, pre-fight, warning us to back off
“I think Ken cut himself. I think he got upset because Kimbo was making twice as much as he was and I don’t think his ego could take it. I know for a fact that he tried to hold the network up for more money the day before the show. A real fighter would have superglued it. I just hope when he’s finished destroying himself that he has something left to live by.”
Frank Shamrock gives his thoughts on Ken getting cut before the Kimbo fight
“We fight in a cage. There’s no such thing as bad for the sport nowadays. It’s not my part to worry about what’s good and bad for the sport. I’m just trying to keep my teeth in my mouth.”
Nick Diaz
