Guillotine Technique 1
1. Nav and Hywel square off.
2. Nav shoots a bad double leg on Hywel.
His posture is out, he is leaning forward and his head is not tight against the side of Hywel’s body.
3. Hywel counters the bad shoot by wrapping his left arm around Nav’s neck and under his chin. He grips his hands together.
3 REV. Reverse angle.
4. As Nav drives forward, Hywel uses this to tighten the choke around the neck.
5. He locks both legs around Nav’s torso and closes the choke for the finish.
Guillotine Technique 2
1. Hywel has the guillotine choke but has not yet finished it.
2. Nav begins to defend by basing up on his feet and stacking in.
3. Hywel uncross his legs and inserts his left hook inside Nav’s thigh.
4. Lifting with the hook and rolling to his right shoulder, Hywel turns Nav.
5. Landing in mount, Hywel keeps control of the choke all the way through the movement.
6. He frees his left foot, wraps both legs around Nav’s torso and finishes the choke.
Guillotine Technique 3
1. Nav is in Hywel’s closed guard and has low posture.
2. Hywel pushes Nav’s head to his left side.
3. He reaches over with his left arm high across the back and grips his right shin.
4. Hywel briefly uncrosses his legs and shifts his hips out to the left side.
5. He quickly recrosses his legs so that Nav cannot regain his posture.
6. With his left arm, Hywel reaches back and cups Nav’s chin with his hand.
7. Still keeping his grip on the chin, he bases up on his right elbow.
8. Basing up completely onto his hand Hywel releases the grip on the chin and slips his arm deeper around the neck.

9. Hywel locks his hand together.

10. As he drops back, Hywel locks his legs around Nav’s waist and finishes the choke.
