CAGE RAGE 10 - Deliverance is Cage Rage’s first show of the year at the Wembley Conference Centre on Saturday, February 26. The show is already promising to be phenomenal, bringing together a top fight card with the best the UK has to offer up against international fight stars including several Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veterans from the United States and Brazil.
Special guest on the night will be the Brazilian fighting star ‘The Axe Murderer’, Wanderlei Silva, who has often been described as the most dangerous fighter on the planet. He will be in the corner for fellow Chute Box team member Evangelista ‘Cyborg’ Santos, who will be fighting Anthony Rea from France.
Another special guest that will be working with the team is the famous fight professor Stephen Quadros, who will be doing pre-fight interviews and joining the commentary team.
As for the event, this one speaks for itself ? there will be 13 fights on the night. Top of the bill in an international super bout is UFC veteran Renato ‘Babalu’ Sobral vs Pierre Guillet. Both these guys are good, well-rounded fighters with Babalu being the more experienced.
Two of the UK’s top middleweights will be there, Sol ‘Zero Tolerance’ Gilbert vs UFC veteran Curtis Stout and Alex Reid vs UFC veteran Jorge Rivera. Due to study commitments Peter Tiarks recently made the Cage Rage featherweight title belt vacant and it has been left open for the country’s two top featherweights to battle it out for the title. Robbie ‘The Flame’ Olivier will be facing UFC veteran Leigh ‘Bulldog’ Remedios.
Also defending his title and belt on the night will be the high-kicking, back-flipping Jean ‘White Bear’ Silva vs UFC veteran Chris ‘The West Side Strangler’ Brennan. This is a big opportunity for Chris as Jean has successfully defended his belt several times.
Other fights include Matt ‘The Hardest’ Ewin vs Gabriel ‘Gladiator’ Santos, Jeremy ‘Bad Boy’ Bailey vs Sami ‘The Hun’ Berik, Andy ‘The Rock’ Costello vs Daniel Burzotta, Marc Goddard vs Robert ‘Buzz’ Berry, Kuljit ‘Asian Sensation’ Degun vs Mustafa Alturk, Brad ‘One Punch’ Picket vs Chris ‘The Freak’ Freeborn and Atilla ‘Mr T’ Kubilay against a yet-to-be-known opponent.
The Cage Rage promoters are aiming to raise £20,000 for the Tsunami charity fund, promising to match whatever money is donated by punters on the night as well as donating a percentage of the profit from ticket sales.
Cage Rage 10 - Deliverance will mark the UK live commentating debut of ‘The Fight Professor’ Stephen Quadros. Known for his hosting and commentating on shows like Pride, K-1, Inoki Bom Ba Ye, Too Hot To Handle, WEC, APEX and others, Stephen is ready to his UK adventure...
