Silva and Adesanya both showed a lot of class at UFC 234.
The recent UFC fight between Israel Adesanya and Anderson Silva was described by one journalist as like a Mortal Kombat contest. Unlike other ageing legends of the sport who have recently failed to deliver a spectacle even somewhere close to their past glories, the Brazilian legend and potential GOAT, more than excelled against arguably 2019’s Breakthrough Fighter of the Year to take the decision to the judges. As you’d expect of an Anderson Silva fight, both men showboated and displayed some aerial acrobatics. However, this closing shot exemplifies the respect shown by the old master and the young pretender for each other, as well as the true spirit of martial arts.
