The Pros
TIMOTHY JOHNSON:
1: Justin Bieber recently challenged Tom Cruise to an MMA fight in the UFC. Which celebrity would you like to see throw down in the Octagon?
I would love to see Jason Statham fight. I think it’d be fun to watch him bounce around in there.
2: What’s your favorite rivalry in MMA history?
Without a doubt, it was Frankie Edgar and BJ Penn.
3: The American Gangster, Chael Sonnen recently announced his retirement. Do you have a favorite Chael moment?
Probably his fight with Anderson Silva. He was dominant the whole fight minus 30 important seconds.
Bellator recently re-signed Fedor Emelianenko for his retirement tour. Good move or bad move?
I can’t say. I know if I was in his shoes making his kind of money it’d be hard for me to walk away. He still has pop in his punch, that’s for sure.
4: Bellator recently re-signed Fedor Emelianenko for his retirement tour. Good move or bad move?
I can’t say. I know if I was in his shoes making his kind of money it’d be hard for me to walk away. He still has pop in his punch, that’s for sure.
5: With Henry Cejudo recently becoming yet another champ-champ, is the novelty wearing off of this accomplishment?
I think it still holds a prestigious position. To say you’re the best in two divisions is nothing to shy away from. You’ll see when I drop down to welterweight!
RYAN LAFLARE:
1: Justin Bieber recently challenged Tom Cruise to an MMA fight in the UFC. Which celebrity would you like to see throw down in the Octagon?
I’d like to see someone like Jason Statham in there.
2: What’s your favorite rivalry in MMA history?
I like the Jon Jones versus Daniel Cormier rivalry the best because they are two of the best to ever do it.
3: The American Gangster, Chael Sonnen recently announced his retirement. Do you have a favorite Chael moment?
The whole build-up to the first Anderson Silva fight was epic. The fight was crazy, too.
4: Bellator recently re-signed Fedor Emelianenko for his retirement tour. Good move or bad move?
I think it’s a bad move for Fedor but they might as well squeeze every last bit out of him.
With Henry Cejudo recently becoming yet another champ-champ, is the novelty wearing off of this accomplishment?
No, I think it is one of the toughest accomplishments in all of professional sports.
JASON KNIGHT:
Justin Bieber recently challenged Tom Cruise to an MMA fight in the UFC. Which celebrity would you like to see throw down in the Octagon?
I would like to see Tom Hardy. Maybe he can be like he was in the movie, Warrior.
2: What’s your favorite rivalry in MMA history?
Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz. The old stuff , not Tito beating old man Chuck. The old days when Chuck made him look like a bitch.
3: The American Gangster, Chael Sonnen recently announced his retirement. Do you have a favorite Chael moment?
The first fight with Anderson. I thought he was gonna win until the triangle. At that time, I thought maybe he was gonna take over the whole middleweight division.
4: Bellator recently re-signed Fedor Emelianenko for his retirement tour. Good move or bad move?
Hell yes! I love Fedor fights. He can still put a mofo to sleep and I’d like to watch his retirement tour.
5: With Henry Cejudo recently becoming yet another champ-champ, is the novelty wearing off of this accomplishment?
Yes. No one gives a shit about who is the champ or champ-champ. The world just wants to see good fighters fight in exciting fights!
KURT HOLOBAUGH
Justin Bieber recently challenged Tom Cruise to an MMA fight in the UFC. Which celebrity would you like to see throw down in the Octagon?
Let’s get Terry Crews in the Octagon and see if those big muscles can help him out!
2: What’s your favorite rivalry in MMA history?
I think my favorite MMA rivalry would have to be Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz. The rivalry they had was real and I was a big fan of both of them!
3: The American Gangster, Chael Sonnen recently announced his retirement. Do you have a favorite Chael moment?
I was a huge fan of Chael Sonnon for a long time! I actually had the honor of fighting on the same card as him when he fought Jon Jones. My favorite moment would probably have to be all of his trash talk leading up to his fight against Anderson Silva.
4: Bellator recently re-signed Fedor Emelianenko for his retirement tour. Good move or bad move?
I think re-signing Fedor was a good move just because of the legend that Fedor is. There are guys out there that still want to see him compete.
5: With Henry Cejudo recently becoming yet another champ-champ, is the novelty wearing off of this accomplishment?
Any time that you capture two belts in two different weight classes, it’s a huge accomplishment, but Henry hasn’t cleaned out the division yet. There’s a lot of guys that Henry needs to fight before he can be the best pound-for-pound fighter.
