Kyoji Horiguchi flattens Ian McCall in seconds
Kyoji Horiguchi has flourished on the Japanese MMA circuit since leaving the UFC.
That statement was solidified upon Horiguchi’s stunning nine-second knockout win over former UFC title challenger Ian McCall.
In a typical frenzied start to the fight you’d expect from these two exciting flyweights-turned-bantamweights, Horiguchi slipped McCall’s left straight to return a thumping counter left hook to crumple his opponent.
The referee promptly dived in to save McCall any further undue punishment as Horiguchi raced to finish the fight.
It was a disappointing loss for McCall as he looks to make his mark on the Japanese scene. As for Horiguchi, his stock has never been higher with a nine-fight winning streak to his name.
Tenshin Nasukawa dominates Yusaku Nakamura
Flitting in and out of MMA and kickboxing, Tenshin Nasukawa remains an absolute striking phenomenon.
Still only 19 years old, Nasukawa stopped MMA veteran Yusaku Nakamura with a second-round TKO in a dominant performance, improving his kickboxing record to a spotless 30-0.
Nasukawa had Nakamura in so much trouble the latter seemingly forgot what ruleset he was fighting, often diving for an illegal takedown whenever tagged with a vicious Nasukawa strike.
The teen striking sensation even threw in his take on the rolling thunder for good measure:

Given Nasukawa’s vast array of striking techniques, it’s no wonder why Nakamura was so wary on his feet.
A laboured jab saw Nakamura floored for the fourth and final time as Nasukawa took home the comfortable victory inside the second round as the referee waved off the action.

Daron Cruickshank wows the Japanese audience once again
Though he has accumulated a couple of losses while competing for Rizin, it’s no wonder why the Japanese promotion keeps “The Detroit Superstar” Daron Cruickshank around.
Cruickshank looked to dominate opponent Koshi Matsumoto from the very get-go.
Matsumoto visibly withered each time Cruickshank blasted his foe with a knee from the clinch and any kicks from his karate-based arsenal.
However, Cruickshank put Matsumoto out of his misery inside four minutes, catching him with a nasty-looking head kick which rendered the Japanese fighter unconscious. The American promptly threw up a middle finger at his fallen opponent, showing a nasty streak we haven’t really seen before.
