Another title fight has been added to the huge New Year's Eve show from RIZIN that as always, will take place in the iconic Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
RIZIN DECADE will now feature three title fights with the addition of Japanese MMA legend, Kyoji Horiguchi.
The former UFC title challenger has spent a lot of his 38-fight pro career in RIZIN and in December last year, he became the promotion's inaugural flyweight champion.
He defeated Makoto Shinryu in December and in his last outing, got revenge over Sergio Pettis in June.
Horiguchi also previously shared the ring with Kai Asakura who will make his Octagon debut in the main event of UFC 310 this weekend having fought on the same RIZIN card as him in December.
His first title defence will come against South Africa's Nkazimulo Zulu who has spent the majority of his time in EFC, having previously competed on The Ultimate Fighter in 2016.
Zulu is an experienced opponent and his losses only tend to come against very high-level opponents like Jake Hadley and Luthando Biko, who will face Muhammad Mokaev in his BRAVE CF debut.
Following a debut win in RIZIN in September, he now faces his toughest opponent to date in Horiguchi.
The December 31 card also features a lightweight title fight between Roberto Souza and Vugar Karamov as well as the featherweight title clash between Chihiro Suzuki and Kleber Koike.
As is often the case with these big RIZIN events, there is a special showcase bout currently scheduled as well which will see controversial boxing star Ryan Garcia take on Japanese kickboxer Rukiya Anpo, who previously faced Manny Pacquiao in an exhibition bout earlier this year with Garcia stepping inside the ring afterwards.
