The late Leon Tabbs patched up generations of fighters in both boxing and MMA. Here is a tribute to a legend.
After a near-50-year career within combat sports, including two decades spent with MMA fighters, cornerman supreme, Leon Tabbs passed away in Atlanta on June 15 aged 86 of congestive heart failure. A Korean war veteran, police officer and truck driver, Tabbs found his true calling as a cutman first in boxing (Bernard Hopkins employed his services) and later in MMA (he was the sole cutman at UFC 1.) Such were his talents he was known simply as ‘Miracle Man’.
