Champ vs. champ, relaxation and rewards are on the agenda for five MMA professionals.

The Pro’s

Darren Elkins: Featherweight in a rich vein of form

Julian Lane: Two-time TUFer who wants to bang, bro

Zach Freeman: Bellator up-and-comer at lightweight.

Sam Alvey: 'Smilin' new entry to the UFC 205lb division.

Q. Who wins - Stipe Miocic or Daniel Cormier?

Elkins:

  • They are both great wrestlers and they both have great hands, but I think Stipe will push an incredible pace and will be a little too much for ‘DC’.

Lane:

  • I think Stipe Miocic wins the fight

Freeman:

  • Stipe

Alvey:

  • I love DC, but I am going fro Stipe. He impressed the pants off me in his fight with Ngannou.

Q. Whats the first thing you do to unwind after a fight?

Elkins:

  • With our schedule, you never know when you might fight. You always have to be ready, so I like to take a trip and spend time with my family.

Lane:

  • The first thing I do after a fight is smoke a fatty!

Freeman:

  • Dig into my guitar and I gorge myself until I am back to my set-point weight.

Alvey:

  • I go to Disneyland. It’s been a tradition of my wife and family for a few fights. I stuck around Orlando and went to Disney World after the last fight.

Q. Would you let your children do MMA professionally?

Elkins:

  • I’m all for it. I’m not going to force anything on them. They have already done a little bit of wrestling, boxing and jiu-jitsu. They are having fun.

Lane:

  • I would let them do it if it was their passion. Yes, I would support them.

Freeman:

  • I will support my children in whatever passions they have. I will also guide them and parent them.

Alvey:

  • If they so choose, then yes. I will make sure they are the greatest fighter that has ever been. But I am going to try really hard to make them good at other sports too so they can make some money.

Q. What was the first MMA event you watched?

Elkins:

  • I watched UFC 1 on pay- per-view. My dad saw it was coming and we bought it and watched it live.

Lane:

  • The first event I ever watched was Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz 1

Freeman:

  • I watched UFC 1 with my grandfather, father and brothers.

Alvey:

  • It might have been UFC 100. I was late to the game in general. I moved to train with ‘Hendo’ before I knew who Dan Henderson even was.

Q. What’s more important: money or belts?

Elkins:

  • I’m going for gold. Money is awesome and I need to support my family, but I do this because I am a competitive person.

Lane:

  • Getting the money fight is definitely more important. Belts won’t pay the bills.

Freeman:

  • I think it is best to aim for both!

Alvey:

  • I think money has to be the most important. That being said, I have a goal. If I never make that million dollars, it’s not that important as long as I get that belt.
