The Canadian booked a shot at Benson Henderson’s 155lb UFC title in 2013, but concussion issues kept him away from the cage and he never returned to competition.
Dan Hardy, 30:
‘The Outlaw’ was on the comeback trail in 2012 until he was told about his Wol – Parkinson–White syndrome. Doctors wouldn’t clear him to compete.
Forrest Griffin, 33:
The TUF 1 winner should have been in his prime, but his shoulder was so torn up, he had to switch hands to brush his teeth, never mind fight, when he retired in 2013.
Chris Holdsworth, 26:
After winning TUF 18, ‘Holds It Down’ only had one more fight due to concussion troubles. He claims that T.J. Dillashaw’s hard sparring is to blame.
Aisling Daly, 27:
A brain scan revealed an abnormality as a result of a prior brain haemorrhage. Fighting was out of the question after that and her 2015 UFC Dublin win was her last.
