Take command and move your opponent at will on the mat.
Kenny Johnson teaches you a wrestling technique that will allow you to move your opponent at will on the mat with help from Pedro Munhoz.
1 - Kenny has Pedro in a front headlock, controlling the tricep with his left hand. He pushes into him, so his butt goes to his heels.
2 - As Pedro pushes back, Kenny moves around 90 degrees, catches Pedro’s ankle to lock his knee and puts his head in Pedro’s ribs.
3 - As he moves around Pedro, Kenny keeps control of the head with his hand on his chin.
4 - Kenny drives into Pedro, dropping him to his hip. He keeps his body low and uses his head to keep heavy pressure on.
5 - Once Pedro is on his hip, Kenny reverse palms his opposite knee to stop him recovering guard.
6 - Kenny’s head pops up over Pedro’s. He squeezes Pedro’s head tight and keeps heavy chest pressure.
7 - Switching head control to a cross-face, Kenny rolls Pedro to his back. He can keep Pedro’s arm trapped as he fans the arm.
8 - Kenny finishes by locking his hands and keeping his chest and hip pressure heavy.
TOP TIPS:

- ALL-AMERICAN
For the perfect headlock, your right hand should be chin deep with your elbow in tight and up, so your opponent can’t grab it.
- OLYMPIAN
In step two, by twisting the head, pulling up on the chin and pushing down on the elbow, you can lock your opponent’s knee, hips and neck.
