Anderson Silva's Flame-Grilled Whopper

Anderson Silva certainly has settled some beef inside the Octagon during his four-and-a-half-year reign as the UFC middleweight champion – and now it looks like he's finally settled some beef outside of it too.

To add to a new deal with sportswear giant Nike, 'The Spider' recently became the newest face of fast-food juggernaut Burger King.

“Anderson has a great identity with the brand, is an idol of many audiences, especially young people, our main customers,” says Paul Davis, marketing manager of Burger King Brazil.

“We believe he has much to contribute to make the new campaign more fun and impacting.”

Now kids tucking into their Whopper and fries can have a true taste of what it's like to be one of the world's greatest athletes.

Of course, old Ronald McDonald is likely to be livid when he gets wind of the news, as Silva used to work for the fast-food rivals.

Yet the deal is only likely to raise the champ's profile and further boost his confidence next time he steps into the onion ring.

Phil Davis' Edge Shaving Gel

UFC light heavyweight prospect Phil 'Mr Wonderful' Davis is fighting to become the new face of Edge Shaving Gel. He is one of four UFC fighters selected to compete, including Chad Mendes, Brian Stann and BJ Penn. “In anything I set out to do, I set out to win. This contest is no different,” says Davis. “I plan to give it 100% and look forward to my fans helping Mr Wonderful become the face of Team Edge!”

The title will be hotly contested, as the baby-faced brawlers (Mendes and Penn) battle it out with the chiselled action heroes (Stann and Davis). Sadly, beard-boasting Kimbo Slice did not make the shortlist.
