Michael “The Menace” Johnson served as Justin Gaethje’s welcome party to the UFC. Johnson kept up relentless pressure, whilst Gaethje absorbed shot after shot. but as Johnson’s attack fi nally slowed, the Octagon newcomer came on strong, picking up a fi nish with a series of knees on the fence late in round two.

URIAH HALL VS. KRYZTOV JOTKO

With his UFC career on the line following three straight defeats Uriah Hall couldn’t afford another loss. Jotko piled on the pressure from the o , landing heavy shots from back control and mount. Somehow Hall hung on. before landing a solid straight right to the jaw, then finishing Jotko with strikes on the ground.

NATHANIEL WOOD VS. JOSH REED

It only lasted 2:19, but there was enough action in this Cage Warriors bantamweight title fight to fill a whole card. After an even start, Reed set forth with a bruising barrage of punches. Marc Goddard asked for a reply and it came. Wood was clinical with the retort, picking up the TKO victory and legions of new fans in the process.

DARREN ELKINS VS. MIRSAD BEKTIC

Bektic landed solid punches before launching Elkins to the mat, dicing him with elbows, and putting on a showcase of control and ground and pound for the first two rounds. Elkins stayed the course, landing a hard right hand on a weary Bektic halfway through the third, and then a headkick to send his foe slumping to the mat, grasping victory from the jaws of sure defeat.

DERRICK LEWIS VS. TRAVIS BROWNE

Browne initially caught Lewis with kicks and knees to the mid-section and “The Black Beast” looked like he could be done. But he turned the tables in round two, punishing Browne with ground and pound, before glancing a hard right off the forehead of “Hapa”, and then finishing with a barrage of punches on the mat.
