Woodley edges ‘Wonderboy’ in lackluster rematch.

UFC 209’s main event did not live up to the hype.

Tyron Woodley’s welterweight title defense came down to two key moments – this third-round takedown and a fifth-frame assault – to deny Stephen Thompson in his second shot at the belt.

They say styles make fights, but this time Woodley’s heavy-hitting and ‘Wonderboy’s' sharp technical striking, which complimented each other so well at UFC 205, barely made an appearance, as respect and timidity stopped another 25-minute battle.

The fans in the T-Moblie arena, and Dana White, were not impressed.
