The Bellator welterweight champion and US freestyle Olympian shows us what he has in his locker.

Locker

“I actually don’t have a kitbag, I leave all my stuff at Roufusport. Duke has a locker room that is only for the professional fighters so we can leave our gear there, so most days I don’t bring anything to the gym as it’s already there.”

Adidas wrestling shoes

“I’ve got a bunch of wrestling shoes, but these are the ones that I keep at the gym. They’re my favorites because they’re really thin and light, plus they’re really good shoes.”

Everlast gloves

“I’ve got Everlast for pretty much everything. I’ve got the big 16oz gloves for when I’m boxing and the little MMA ones for hitting mitts. I really like them just because I’ve been wearing them for quite a while and they haven’t let me down yet.”

Everlast shin guards

“I’m not trying to get injured or injure any of my sparring partners, so I wear my Everlast shin guards because they’re just really good at protecting both me and my teammates.”

Everlast head guard

“As you can tell, I trust Everlast quite a bit and I feel the same way about the head guard as I do about the rest of the equipment. It fits well and it stops me from getting any head injuries so I wear it when I’m sparring.”

Water

“There’s always a bottle of water or Gatorade close at hand. I also drink from the water fountain we have in the gym. Rehydration is a vital part of any daily routine in a training camp.”

Handwraps

“I’ve got many pairs of wraps because they get dirty. The great thing about Roufusport is that Duke even has a washing machine and dryer for us. We’ll leave our clothes there once we finish working out, someone will do the laundry and put it in the dryer and then when we come back we’ve got clean clothes to wear.”
