In a bout billed by the fight poster as the "Biggest Baddest Rematch," Francis Ngannou turned the tables on Stipe Miocic to knock out the two-time world champion and capture the undisputed UFC heavyweight title at UFC 260.
It was a bout that deserved to be headlining a jam-packed venue such as the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. But, due to the ongoing COVID restrictions, the event was held down the road at the UFC Apex, where the action unfolded behind closed doors in an eerie atmosphere.
The silence only seemed to raise the tension level as the fighters were introduced, but Ngannou stepped into the Octagon a significantly evolved fighter, and he stuffed Miocic's takedown attempts, then blasted him with heavy punches to score a title-winning knockout 52 seconds into Round 2.
And the shot above, captured by Jeff Bottari and circulated to the media by the UFC, shows Ngannou as he found his range and landed clean on Miocic en route to his knockout victory.
