The fight card for UFC 298 looks close to complete with a number of announced additions bringing the lineup of confirmed matchups to 13.
The event, which takes place February 17 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, will be headlined by a featherweight title bout between reigning champion Alexander Volkanovksi and Spanish-Georgian contender Ilia Topuria.
Now more firepower has been added to the lineup, with UFC president Dana White announcing that former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker will take on former title challenger Paulo Costa in a crucial clash at 185 pounds.
White also announced that the welterweight matchup between Geoff Neal and Ian Machado Garry, previously announced for UFC 299, has been moved to UFC 298. T
he fight card also features a host of bouts featuring top contenders. Bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili takes on former two-division champion Henry Cejudo, while strawweight contenders Tatiana Suarez and Amanda Lemos will also face off at the event.
