Former UFC title challenger Wilson Reis will meet Toby '2 Quick' Misech Cage Warriors 166, as the two look back to get to winnings ways.

Cage Warriors 166 marks the promotion's first event of 2024 and is set to take place at the Sycuan Casino Resort, San Diego on February 23rd.

Since signing with Cage Warriors, Reis has managed to remain relatively active, competing twice in both 2022 and 2023. He had the dream start to life in the yellow gloves with decision wins over Jeremiah Labiano and Toumas Gronvall before a rear naked choke victory over Johnny Campbell.

Reis was then the man to welcome Trevin Jones to Cage Warriors following his dismissal from the UFC after losing four fights on the bounce. Jones ultimately brought Reis' promotional unbeaten streak to an end with a split decision win.

At 39-year-old, Reis is proving he can still compete with the those at the top of the game.

Misech had a difficult start to his Cage Warriors tenure, losing his promotional debut at Cage Warriors 159 back in September 2023.

After losing to Ricky Palacios on Dana White's Contender Series, Misech then enjoyed some success competing on Bellator; securing two victories and one loss.

'2 Quick' then took a three year hiatus from the sport and after a Bare Knuckle Boxing bout, he returned to the cage on the domestic Hawaiian scene.

It would be 15 months before Misech would be back in the cage and making his promotional debut against Robert Hernandez. Although things didn't go the way he was hoping then, Misech is back and ready to prove he is still hungry.

Both men joined the professional ranks well over a decade ago; the two gritty veterans will not disappoint when they face off in San Diego.

Cage Warriors 166 marks the first is a busy run of shows for the promotion. After their initial show of 2024, Cage Warriors will be back on UK shores for a double header in Manchester, followed by trips to London, Dublin and Glasgow before rounding off their busy 5 months with a fight night in Newcastle.
