Cage Warriors has already laid out it's schedule for a run of European events in the first third of 2025.
On April 26, the promotion will return to Dublin, Ireland's RDS for Cage Warriors 188 which now has it's main event confirmed.
The first title fight of 2025 that the promotion has made official sees James Sheehan put his welterweight title on the line against former challenger Justin Burlinson.
Following a win over Olli Santalahti in October last year, Sheehan submitted Daniel Konrad in a great fight to win the vacant title that was left by Giannis Bachar when he appeared on this year's season of The Ultimate Fighter.
The current and former champion were then scheduled to face each other at CW 177 this past September until an injury forced Sheehan to withdraw.
Burlinson recently returned to action at CW 181 in November where he pulled off a big comeback victory against Theodor Berggren in Newcastle.
This win marked a big return for the 27-year old who hadn't fought since March of 2023 following surgery and a battle with testicular cancer that he overcame.
Burlinson previously fought for the welterweight title at CW 140 in 2022 where he was defeated by Rhys McKee in a classic Cage Warriors title fight.
Sheehan also fought on that night in Belfast, stopping Martin Causse in the second round.
Cage Warriors is set to host its final event of 2024 this weekend with CW 182 taking place at the Sycuan Casino Resort in San Diego on Friday night.
From here, the promotion will turn its full attention to the run of big shows that they have coming up in 2025 which includes a Manchester double-bill and a trip to London the night before the UFC comes to town.
