OKTAGON return to the UK this Saturday night, when they descend on the Utilita Arena, Newcastle for OKTAGON 52.

At the top of the card, a local rivalry between Manchester-based athletes Jonas Magard and Jack Cartwright. The contest has been years in the making and the two now find themselves competing to see who the next man will be to challenge for the OKTAGON Bantamweight title. In his promotion, in front of a home crowd, Cartwright ran through Junior Assis in the very first round and was met by the former champion, Magard, in the cage post fight. That then set up this incredible number one contender clash, with the winner undoubtedly next in line for a shot at the belt.

In the co-main event, number seventh ranked Matthew ‘The Beast’ Bonner, will face the number three ranked Matej Penaz. With the top of the division needing a defining champion when Kincl returns, this bout is the perfect opportunity for either man to saddle themselves into a title shot once the championship is decided.

Former Flyweight title challenger Aaron Aby returns to the OKTAGON cage in his pursuit for a second shot at gold. In a fight in which he was beating champion Ellias Garcia, the Welshman sustained a nasty cut above his eye following a big shot from the champion and the doctor ruled Aby unfit to continue in between rounds. Aby will now face American Christopher Daniel in a fight that may well see the victor fighting for the strap next.

Elsewhere on the card there is a plethora of English and Irish Talent such as Denis Frimpong, Corey Fry and Stuart Austin all looking to push on in their respective divisions. A tasty rematch between OKTAGON Challenge alumni Jake McHugh and Armand Herczeg is also set for the Newcastle show. A duo of local fighters, Nathan Haywood & Daniel Bainbridge will both look to make their promotional debuts with the backing of their city behind them.
