Mason 'The Dragon' Jones will make the trip stateside once more, when he faces Bryce Logan in the main event of Cage Warriors 166 on February 23rd.
The show will mark Cage Warriors' first outing of the year, ahead of a busy schedule which will see them in Manchester, London, Dublin, Glasgow and Newcastle, all before the end of May.
The former Cage Warriors double champion returned to the promotion last year, following a difficult spell with the UFC.
After beating Joe McColgan to win the Lightweight strap, 'The Dragon' moved up to Welterweight and beat the previously undefeated Adam Proctor to add a second belt to his collection. The UFC then snapped him up but the Welshman was handed his first professional defeat at the hands of Mike Davis in his promotion debut.
He then faced Alan Patrick but the bout was ruled a no contest due to an accidental eye poke. The two were set to meet once more but after Patrick withdrew from the contest, Jones faced David Onama and picked up his first UFC win.
9 month later and 'The Dragon' faced L'udviot Klein, coming up short and losing by way of unanimous decision and with that, his first run with the UFC came to an end.
It would be a whole year before fans would see Jones back in the cage, at Cage Warriors 158, where he very much picked up where he left off with the promotion, defeating Alexandre Ribeiro with a first round stoppage.
He was back just three months later against former title challenger Yann Liasse, of whom he dispatched of with a TKO in the second round.
In this third outing of his second tenure with the promotion, Jones will head to San Diego to face Bryce Logan at Cage Warriors 165.
Logan is no stranger to the big stage, having previously competed with Bellator following a stint with LFA.
Although his time with Bellator wasn't easy, losing three fights on the bounce to Gerogi Karakhanyan, Mike Hamel and Mandei Nallo, the South Dakota native proved his worth in his fourth and final bout with the promotion, stopping the gritty Peter Queally with a second round stoppage.
Cage Warriors 166 will once again look to showcase the best of the emerging prospects from the USA with 8 fights, so far, set to take place.
