Cage Warrior have announced two more bouts ahead of Cage Warriors 170 which is set for Dublin on April 6th.

The promotion will make their return to the Irish capital following extremely successful shows in recent years.

Middleweights Francesco Mazzeo and Jordan O’Neil will meet in a 185lbs clash whilst Adam Shelley will square off against Emanuele Sabatino at Lightweight.

Shelley will fight in his homeland for the second time in as many years as he looked to work his way towards the top of the Lightweight division. After signing with the Cage Warriors as a 1-1 prospect in 2021, Shelley has remained active throughout his tenure with 5 fights in the space of two years.

In his opening bout, Shelley faced the vastly more experienced Steven Hooper at Cage Warriors 135 in Manchester. Shelley instantly showed his worth to the promotion by stopping the Manchester based Lightweight in the second round.

He then met fellow prospect James Power just two months later at Cage Warriors 140. Power handed Shelley his first loss with the promotion, with the Irishman coming up short and being stopped in the second round.

He was back to 5 months after the defeat in which he got himself back to winning ways with an unanimous decision against El Hadji Ndiaye. He added another two wins to his record in 2023 with a stoppage over Muhammed Kir Ahmet and Matthew Camilleri.

Up next for the Team KF athlete is Emanuele Sabatino. The Italian has enjoyed some solid success since signing with Cage Warriors. Building a 3-1 record, after learning his craft on the IMMAF European and World Championships. Sabatino signed in 2022, with his first appearance coming in October against Karol Michalak, at Welterweight, at Cage Warriors 144.

He then decided to drop to Lightweight and beat Aaron Johnson with a first round submission win at Cage Warriors 158.

Elsewhere on the card, unbeaten prospects Francesco Mazzeo and Jordan O’Neil will look to keep their perfect records in tact when they face off. O’Neil will make the walk to the Cage Warriors cage for the first time on April 6th. The Northern Irish man’s gym, Fight Academy Ireland, are no stranger to producing huge stars on Cage Warriors with former Lightweight Champion, Joe McColgan, former Welterweight champion Rhys Mckee and Featherweight champion Paul Hughes all reigning from the gym.

Mazzeo has impressed since he signed with Cage Warriors. Having yet to see the third round as a professional, the Italian holds wins over Joan Arastey and Angus Hewett at Cage Warriors 154 and Cage Warriors 163 respectively.

The two bouts will join a women’s Flyweight contest which will see Emear Darcy make her highly anticipated debut against Jenny Line.
