UFC 298 weigh ins went of largely without a hitch, with all 24 athletes making weight successfully, but it wasn't without a surprise weigh in.

Both champion and challenger, Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria, came in at identical weight; tipping the scales at 144.5lbs.

The matching weights continued for most of the rest of the main card with Paulo Costa and Robert Whittaker both coming in at 185.5lbs, Ian Garry and Geoff Neal both hitting the scales at 170.5lbs and both Henry Cejudo Merab Dvalishvili weighing in at 135lbs dead.

All athletes came and weighed in relatively quickly, most coming in before the first thirty minutes were up. Mackenzie Dern was the last female athlete to tip the scales ahead of her contest against Amanda Lemos.

The only bit of drama came in the Heavyweight bout which was set to be contested between Marcos Rogerio de Lima and Justin Tafa. At the 11th hour, Tafa had to withdraw from the contest due to a late injury but his younger brother, Junior - who currently holds a 5-1 record - was there to save the day and will step in and face de Lima in a heavyweight contest.
