Mason Jones continued his fine run of form at Cage Warriors 166, with a brutal second round TKO against Bryce Logan.

'The Dragon' added yet another name and another win to his ever impressive resume since resigning with Cage Warriors.

Post fight, Jones spoke to Edith Labelle to discuss the contest and revealed that fight week was far from easy for him and his team, a team who've stood by him through thick and thin as they all have the same goal for the 28-year-old. He said:

"We had a lot of problems actually, nothing personal, but we had flights cancelled. My coaches ended up having to book four flights. I had to come out early, we had problems with a couple of things with my travel, last minute medical issues, we were jumping through hoops.

"We had to sign forms with the commissions like four, five times but we work through adversity, we push on and I've got a group of coaches around me , they don't even do it for the money. We have had four or five fights where they haven't even got paid and they've ended up spending out of their own pocket and they do it because they love coming away and they do it because we know we are going to make it to the top one day.

"My performances are getting better, high level opponents and I am showing that I am a class above. "

Jones had made no secret of the fact that he believed Logan was the toughest challenge he'd faced outside of the UFC and post fight, he still felt the same; he was extremely happy to get the finish.

"This one is important to me. Calibre of opponent, he's been to the top, he's done more. Outside of the UFC, I still stand by it, this is probably my toughest fight to date. The guy is a vet, he has had 5 fights in Bellator and every single person he fought was a savage and he did very, very well.

"Most of his fights have gone to decisions, he's not been finished many and I've just shown that I can put him away."

The Lightweight division is a shark tank of young, hungry athletes with champion George Hardwick, Paul Hughes and Mason jones to name but a few. The Welshman doesn't necessarily have his sights set on a specific opponent and is more waiting to see what opportunities arise.

"For me, it is just about getting better and improving. I have got a lot to work on as always, we are going to go back and we are going to look at what comes calling. I always want to get better and I always want to push up and I think I have shown where I should be and the level I should be at so we will just see what comes."
