Neil Seery, Conor McGregor, Paul Hughes. Just three Irishman who have previously held Cage Warriors gold and on Saturday night, James Sheehan will look to add his name to the list as he competes for the vacant Cage Warriors Welterweight title against Daniel Konrad.
'Jimbo Slice' will make the walk in front of a packed out Simmonscourt RDS tomorrow night (April 6) in his quest to claim the 170lbs title. Both Sheehan and Konrad came in under the the championship limit, both tipping the scales at 169.3lbs.
In the co-main event, fan favourite Paul Hughes will compete in front of a home crowd for the second time in as many fights, in his 160lbs catchweight bout against the vastly more experienced Fabiano Silva.
The always entertaining Ger Harris is also back in action. Currently on a two fight win streak and entering the contest on the back of a unanimous decision win against Ryan Hewitt, the surging Irishman will face Gregory Wamytan.
In a bout that could very well be the fight of the night, Welshman Rory Evans makes the trip to enemy territory to face Team KF's Taka Mhandu in a Bantamweight bout.
Although having an active year in 2023, Evans struggled to find form amassing a 1-3 record from his four bout but in every contest, Evans always looked a threat. Mhandu returns to the fold following a unanimous decision win against Alexander Sasha Pirev at Cage Warriors 161.
Unbeaten prospects Solomon Simon and Ieuan Mackenzie will both be looking to move to 4-0 in their Featherweight contest.
Sinéadh Ní Nualláin was the only athlete that failed to make weight, weighing in at 124.3lbs ahead of her 120lbs bout against Jennifer Trioreau.
Ville Mankinen came in at 146.6lbs at the first time of asking but successfully came in under the 146lbs limit ahead of his bout with Decky McAleenan as he took to the scales for the second time.
Eimear Darcy, Ciaran Brady and Jamie Abbott-Bissett all have the opportunity to make their mark on a big stage with the trio all set to make their professional debuts.
