2023 PFL Europe finalist Simeon Powell will make his Bellator debut against Abdellah Er-Ramy in a Light Heavyweight contest at Bellator Champions Series Dublin.

The bout is yet another huge addition to the Dublin card, which is set to take place at the 3 Arena on June 22. Both men featured in the 2023 PFL Europe Light Heavyweight tournament and were originally meant to meet in the semi-finals, before Er-Ramy had to withdraw from the contest just days out from the bout due to medical issues.

Powell signed for the PFL on the back of an impressive outing on their 2022 PFL Challenger Series and making his full promotional debut just 12 days later at PFL 1: 2022 Regular Season and burst onto the scene with third round knockout over Clinton Williams. He then featured in a showcase bout against fell unbeaten prospect Joao Paulo Fagundes and proved to be too much for the Brazilian, earning his second win under the PFL banner with a second round stoppage.

Powell then became the poster boy for the promotion’s inaugural PFL European Series in 2023. In his first outing, the Great Britian Top Team man faced the vastly experienced kick boxer, Mohamed Amine. After a gritty first round, Powell implemented his groundwork perfectly and tied up a tight Arm Triangle choke to advance to the semi-finals. The semi-final bout should’ve been against Er-Ramy but when the Spaniard had to withdraw, Powell then faced Daniel Ladero on just a few days notice. Powell cruised to a unanimous decision win and set up a final showdown against Jakob Nedoh for the 2023 PFL European championship. Nedoh handed Powell his first loss as a professional with a second round stoppage, to be crowned the Light Heavyweight king.

Er-Ramy will make the walk for the first time since his first round stoppage win against Madalin Pirvulescu at PFL Europe 1. Prior to that, the 27 year old had made a splash on the Spanish domestic scene with all but two of his wins coming by way of stoppage. After being forced to withdraw from his PFL Europe semi-final bout the Spaniard is now medically cleared to fight and will be looking to claim his biggest scalp to date when he faces Powell on June 22.
