Oktagon 58 is set to be one of the biggest events on the European calendar this year with the promotion hosting its first event at the open-air Eden Arena football stadium.
Of course, an event of this magnitude needs a fitting main event and on June 8, a rematch is set to take place of one of the biggest fights in the history of the promotion.
European stars Karlos Vemola and Attila Vegh last met five years ago in 2019 in a fight that was a huge breakout moment for both men and Oktagon itself.
Vegh became a household name with his knockout win over Vemola in just over two minutes of the very first round and as a result, hasn’t fought since.
Vemola, on the other hand, has remained active with 11 MMA fights since his stoppage loss to “Pumukli” which have only seen him become a bigger star.
He puts his light heavyweight title on the line and welcomes his former rival back to the cage at long last following years of this rematch being hinted at.
The co-main event falls to established names in David Kozma and Ion Surdu as both men look to advance in the welterweight title pyramid. Also set to take place are two quarter final match-ups in the Tipsport Gamechanger tournament in the lightweight division.
Spain’s Acoidan Duque takes on Mochamed Machaev as Mateusz Legierski looks to halt the momentum of Akonne Wanliss following his destructive performance in Birmingham.
Opening up the main card is one of the biggest feuds that the promotion has seen in some time as Shem Rock and Jaroslav Pokorny finally come to blows.
The two men have been scheduled to fight one another several times and after a great performance in Birmingham, Shem called for the fight on this date and got his wish.
An electric atmosphere, one of their strongest cards to date and a main event that has history written all over it heads to the home of Slavia Prague on June 8.
This event is set to be something special and it kicks off for UK fans via DAZN at 5pm this Saturday.
